Day 2 Mission Trip

Saturday 08-02-08 Day 2

So, we made it safe and sound last night to Gallop, New Mexico at about 7:30 pm and checked into our hotel. Went and found a Wal-Mart so I could get some liquid Benadryl for my hives. We had devotion in the motel room. I learned a lot about Terri and Tracy. They have been through so much and they are super smart girls! And for some reason my allergies are driving me nuts! I do miss my Destiney, but she wouldn’t even give me a hug or kiss goodbye yesterday. I know she’s too young to understand!
So, it’s almost 7:30 Mountain time, we’re going to be heading out.

It’s so beautiful out here. We took 40 West to Hwy 89 and went to a place that has this old bridge (I think its part of the Grand Canyon) that minors used to use. It is just so beautiful out here. The ranges that make all these beautiful designs, it’s awesome! This is Gods’ Country.

We are at the mouth (well almost) of the Grand Canyon! It is so beautiful!!!

We are at Marble Canyon. We are going to the Cliff Dwellers next. Ok, so we finally made it to the North Bend of the Grand Canyon! It’s 1:44 pm. It cost $25 per car load. That place is awesome! One guy said I was awesome. Another one said I rocked. One said I was brave. I went on the ¼ mile trail. It was very hard. We got tons of pictures (267 to be exact, now that I’ve printed them all off…) and it was beautiful! I’d love to be able to go and stay a week here. That would be awesome. Although, a buffet plate was $35 per person, I’d hate to see how much a cabin costs per night!!!

Colorado City, AZ. Biggest polygamy city in the US. Elevation 5000. Time 6pm
6:01 pm Welcome to Utah!!! (We made it!)

We gained an hour. We thought it was 7, and it was really 8pm! We ate at JB and it was GOOD! YUM! These people out here have really HUGE houses!
