Day 4 Mission Trip

Monday 08-04-08 Day 4

There is so much more I want to be writing in this book, but I cannot find the time. Jacque and I talk all morning and all evening, leaving no spare time besides my time to pray before I go to sleep and when I wake up (but I’m not complaining at all.) Yesterday was an awesome fun fellowshipping time. The girls even talked me into swimming, which had to be God’s plan, (personal reasons that I’m not going to blog about…) It was way easier getting in the pool than getting out. Getting out proved quiet hard; I still have a bruise on my leg from it! J Anyways, Jacque, Donna, Julie, Pat, and Jerry all played this electronic game, which was totally fun! And while I was in the pool with all the kids (most of them anyways) and Terri and Tracy and even Greg got in (and made a whirl pool, it reminded me of my Aunt Ada) it was totally cool! And even the smallest of Ronnie’s kids could swim! It was amazing to me! And yesterday morning at Church a lady named Holy got Baptized. Which was cool (they use a horse trough) because this other couple Salina and Josh got to see it and they heard Greg preach and while we were at Ronnie’s house Mr. B got a hold of Josh, and Josh made a decision to give his life over to Jesus. Then at evening Church Josh and Salina were both Baptized. It was really cool and Mr. B’s testimony made me cry and I found out that someone (leaving him name less for the blog reason) is starting to ask questions about the Bible! That’s totally awesome! Then after church Jacque, Crystal and I went up to “Dixie” mountain and hiked up it. We sat at the edge and just enjoyed the view. I do not rally have words to describe this scenery; awesome, beautiful, grand, heavenly, peaceful, all of the above! Then I asked Jacque about her Mission Trip to Russia. She went back in 1995. It was great hearing about the drama plays they put on. We finally got to bed, after 11 pm.

This morning we got up at 5:45 am and went walking again! I love the way it feels when you walk down the walking path, it gets cooler. (Although walking to 80 degree weather is neither here nor there! Ugg!) Jacque dropped me off at Ronnie’s house and we all had breakfast and then got started, door to door. Drink our water, cool off in the van and go to another street. I was so nervous, but, I had nothing to fear. Everyone I saw was so friendly! It was a real blessing and it reminded me of how important spreading Gods word really is. We stopped at noon. So, three hours of walking in very hot weather, it puts everything into perspective! So, we’re back at Ronnie and Dawn’s house. Lunch time! Then, I don’t know. We’re going to the “Smith” house (the founder of the Mormon’s) and some other places like t hat. Hopefully I’ll have time to write back in here tonight! Oh, yeah, by the way, we surpassed over and beyond what Ronnie thought we’d pass out! Amen!
